Will compressing reduce text sharpness?
Since each page is rendered as an image, very fine text may look slightly softer at low quality settings. Use the Medium or High quality preset for documents with important fine print.
Does this work best on certain types of PDFs?
Compression works best on PDFs that are already image-heavy, such as scanned documents. Text-only PDFs are already small and may not shrink much further.
